2003 m. laidos 100 Bulgarijos levų banknotai

 

2003 m.  gruodžio 8 d. Bulgarijos nacionalinis bankas išleido į apyvartą 2003 m. laidos 100 levų banknotus.

The obverse side of the banknote features the image of the writer Aleko Konstantinov along with emblematic motifs from the Bulgarian mountain trekking movement, and a facsimile of the first edition of A Journey to Chicago and Back.
The reverse side of the banknote features items from the life and works of Aleko Konstantinov.

 The banknote was designed by Kiril Gogov.

 

Background colour - green.
Paper Stock - high quality banknote bill stock tinted in pale green.
Dimensions - 141 х 79 mm

Counterfeit Protection Features

Security Strip - a dark coloured metallic strip woven into the paper and partially showing through on the reverse features the holographic white-on-black lines "БНБ 100".
Watermarks - a halftone image of the portrait, the initials БНБ (BNB in Bulgarian).
Holographic Stripe - This features the image of an edelweiss alternating through motion with a profile of Aleko Konstantinov.
Transparent Register Element - when the banknote is held against a light source the figure 100 appears over the marked field.
Multi-hue ink changes colour with motion from mauve to green.

The banknote also features counterfeit protection features pioneered in the euro which represent a higher order of protection and are intended for specialists in instruments of payment.
